For the Chat-Calendar-Files-Calls calendar seems too specific and not so important, while calls don't feel so right in there but could perhaps go on the top close to the stories or in the main menu like now.

For the personal interests-based raccomandations it seems a bit hard to personalize a list of channels for the user is, for example, the user only is part of a few public channels, while respecting their privacy. It lacks a lot of data to make interesting reccomended channels and groups on a weekly basis. For that reason a weekly post-based reccomandation would be better, selecting the best post of the week in the recomended channels and making a recap of them instead of only showing the channel.
