Issues
The contest task was not completed. The app only partially implemented the required features specified in the contest task.
While evaluating the submission, we identified the following issues:
TASK I
– Custom emoji is not rendered in the input field.
– When formatted text is pasted into the input field, part of the formatting resets.
– Text layout breaks if quote formatting is removed from only part of the text – upon sending, the formatting is still applied to the entire message.
– Removing formatting from a portion of the text moves that text to the beginning of the composer.
– * or ** renders text in italic instead of bold.
– __ renders text as underlined instead of italicized.
– Applying formatting via hotkeys or the formatting menu moves the cursor to the beginning of the composer.
– When pasting a larger block of monospaced text and removing the formatting via the menu, it only partially removes the formatting and resets line breaks.
TASK II
– The current implementation is completely broken.
BONUS TASK
– Not implemented.
