Gears 5 6XP weekend is live — start grinding those achievements now

To celebrate the one-year anniversary of Gears 5, The Coalition is giving everyone a free boost and triple the amount of XP up until the morning of Monday, September 14th. Combine the boost with the triple XP bonus on offer, and it'll give you six times the amount of XP over the weekend.

As The Coalition puts it, "There has never been a better time to chase those Re-ups and level up your PvE Classes." This 6XP boost will help you unlock some of Gears 5's toughest achievements, or at least make a significant dent in the grind required. The boost is useful for character-level related achievements and those pesky Re-ups. The following "Re-up" achievements should become a little bit easier to pop if you're willing to invest some time into Gears 5 over the weekend:

The Once More From the Top achievement in Gears 5 worth 56 pointsRe-up!

The The Path To Victory achievement in Gears 5 worth 25 pointsRe-up 5 Times

The Go, Hunt In Packs achievement in Gears 5 worth 70 pointsRe-up 10 Times

The Destroy Them, My Children achievement in Gears 5 worth 221 pointsRe-up 20 Times

The Be Aggressive, Devious achievement in Gears 5 worth 492 pointsRe-up 30 Times

The A War That Will Be Won achievement in Gears 5 worth 936 pointsRe-up 40 Times

The Gears 5 free boost and triple XP weekend will run the morning of Monday, September 14th and applies to both the Xbox and Windows versions of the game. The Coalition has not detailed exact times or timezones for when this will finish.
