2021 Ram 1500 Classic Warlock Receives A Cool New Option

The previous-generation truck remains a strong seller.

The Ram 1500 Classic isn't going anywhere just yet. Sales remain strong as Ram continues to position the truck as a lower-cost alternative to the relatively pricey current generation 1500. As 1500 Classic soldiers on into the 2021 model year generally unchanged from last year, there does appear to be one notable exception. Mopar Insiders claims the cool-looking Warlock trim, first revealed for the 2019 model year, will receive some styling and equipment enhancements by way of the newly optional Warlock All-Terrain Pack.

Ram has not yet officially confirmed the pack's existence but is expected to do so shortly. Okay, so what have we got here?

Customers must select the ASJ order code and they'll receive a package that includes Yokohama all-terrain tires, full-size spare, 17-inch aluminum wheels in matte black, and all-weather floor mats. Expect pictures to arrive once that debut happens (the 2020 model is shown here). These features are in addition to the Warlock trim, which includes an appearance package similar to that of the Ram Rebel, such as the bold grille with the R-A-M lettering, one-inch lift suspension, heavy-duty shocks, powder-coated bumpers front and rear, tow hooks, LED fog lights, projector headlamps, LED taillights, blacked badging, hood decals, and even an optional sport hood.

Official pricing and timing of availability should come as part of the official announcement.

For reference, the 2020 Ram 1500 Classic Warlock Quad Cab 4x2 with a 6-foot bed began at $36,095 while the 4x4 version kicked off at $39,795. The Crew Cab featuring a 5-foot bed started at $38,745 for the 4x2 and $42,345 for the 4x4. Under the hood, the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 comes standard but the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 is only a $1,450 option. An eight-speed automatic transmission is standard and there are few other optional features to cater to truck buyers' various needs.

We don't expect 2021 pricing to differ much for the basic Warlock trim though the All-Terrain Pack will probably tack on a few thousand dollars to the final price tag. Given the 1500 Classic's proven capabilities and cheap V8 engine upgrade, it's really hard to go wrong here.
