Govt to develop Prernasthal in memory of Sudeeksha

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath  has announced to develop a ‘Prernasthal’ in memory of late Sudeeksha Bhati and has granted Rs 20 lakh compensation to her family.

Sudeeksha Bhati, a native of Deri Scanar village in Gautam Buddha Nagar’s Dadri, had died in a road accident in Bulandshahr on August 10.

The chief minister also said that a library in the name of the promising student who was studying in the US, would also be set up along with the Prernasthal.

The announcement was made by the chief minister here on Sunday after meeting the family members of Sudeeksha. The meeting was attended by Rajya Sabha member Surendra Nagar and MLA from Dadri, Tejpal Nagar.

Yogi Adityanath assured the family of all assistance and expressed his condolences at the death of a talented student .

“The death of Sudeeksha is a loss of the country,” he said.

Yogi said the Prernasthal and library would give students inspiration.

Of the total Rs 20 lakh compensation to be given to the family, the state government will give Rs 15 lakh and Rs 5 lakh will be given by MP Surendra Nagar.

The parents of Sudeeksha informed the chief minister that their daughter was very talented and as they had a one-room house, she used to study and managed to get admission  in the US university.

The parents were satisfied after their talks with the chief minister and the assurance given by the government.

Sudeeksha Bhati was pillion-riding a motorcycle with her younger cousin, a minor when she met with the accident. It was said that the girl was being teased by some youths on a motorcycle and it led to the accident. Two persons, Deepak Choudhary and Raju, were arrested on the basis of CCTV footage.

Sudeeksha, an academically bright student, was pursuing a graduation course in entrepreneurship at Babson College, Massachusetts (US), on a scholarship and was scheduled to go back on August 20.
