Malaika Arora shares heartfelt note amid self-quarantine phase

Malaika Arora, who recently tested positive for coronavirus, shared a heartwarming post on how she is staying connected with her son Arhaan and her pet dog amid the self-quarantine phase.

Malaika took to Instagram to share a picture of Arhaan and her dog wherein they can be seen looking at her from a few metres away.

In the caption of her post, Malaika wrote that with their social distancing and self-quarantine in place, they still find a way to check on each other, see each other, and talk to each other.

She went on to write that while her heart breaks to not be able to hug her two babies for another few days, just looking at their sweet faces gives her the courage and energy to power through this difficult time.

Several Bollywood celebrities commented on Malika’s post. While her sister Amrita Arora wrote, “Love this pic malla. Lots of hugging for all of us,” Bipasha Basu wrote, “Yes yes yes. You are way too strong for this. Sending you love and healing every day. Soon you will be able to hug your babies.”

On Sunday, Malaika took to her Instagram story and shared a joke about waiting for coronavirus vaccination so as to be cured as soon as possible. Her story read, “Koi vaccine nikaal do bhai warna jawani nikal jayegi.”

On September 7, Malaika had announced on social media that she has been diagnosed with the viral infection.

She was shooting for TV dance reality show, India’s Best Dancer, where she is one of the judges. Meanwhile, Nora Fatehi has replaced her as a special judge till the time she is ready to return to the shoot.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan on July 11 informed his fans through social media that his reports for coronavirus came out to be positive. He wrote, "I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff have undergone tests, results awaited ..All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested! (sic)." The actor was then admitted to the Nanavati hospital and he is said to be on the path of recovery now.

Hours after Big B announced that he had tested positive, Abhishek Bachchan too tweeted that he had been infected as well. "Earlier today, both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you. (sic)," he wrote.

After Amitabh and Abhishek came out to be positive for COVID-19, swab tests were taken from the rest of the family as well. While Jaya Bachchan's reports turned out to be negative, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya Bachchan tested positive for the virus. "Aishwarya and Aaradhya have also tested COVID-19 positive. They will be self quarantining at home. The BMC has been updated of their situation and are doing the needful. The rest of the family including my Mother have tested negative. Thank you all for your wishes and prayers (sic)," Abhishek tweeted.

Arjun Kapoor on Sunday announced that he has tested positive for coronavirus. He took to his Instagram handle to inform his followers that he is asymptomatic. "It is my duty to inform all of you that I have tested positive for coronavirus. I'm feeling ok and I'm asymptomatic. I have isolated myself at home under the advice of doctors and authorities and will be under home quarantine," he wrote. He went on to say, "I thank you all in advance for your support and I will keep you all updated about my health in the days to come. These are extraordinary and unprecedented times and I have faith that all of humanity will overcome this virus."

Besides the Bachchan family, Anupam Kher's brother Raju Kher and his mother Dulari also fell prey to the virus. Informing about their status, Anupam had tweeted, "This is to inform all that my mother Dulari is found Covid + (Mildly). We have admitted her into Kokilaben Hospital. My brother, bhabhi & niece inspite of being careful have also tested mildly positive.I got myself tested as well & I have tested negative. @mybmc is informed.! (sic)."

Genelia D'Souza had also tested positive for COVID-19. On August 29, she informed her fans that she had recovered from the infection and was asymptomatic for 21 days. "I was tested COVID positive three weeks ago. I was asymptomatic for last 21 days. With God's grace I tested negative today," she said, adding, "As much as I count my blessings that my battle with this disease has been much easier but at the same time I must admit that these last 21 days in isolation have been the most challenging for me to deal with. I am happy to be back with my family and loved ones."

On April 7, Rock On! actor Purab Kohli revealed he and his family 'were down' with the coronavirus infection and were on the road to recovery in London. In a lengthy Instagram post, the actor confirmed that it was his daughter who contracted the virus first with mild symptoms, followed by his wife, him and their son. He also wrote that they chose to home quarantine themselves and were in constant touch with their doctor and that people shouldn't panic about it, but instead make sure to practice all the precautionary measures.

Chennai Express producer Karim Morani was one of the B-Towners to have contracted the virus. Along with him, his daughters Zoa and Shaza Morani had also tested positive. All the three of them had to be admitted to the hospital, and soon after getting discharged, Zoa had penned a heartfelt note thanking and saluting the frontline workers for braving the pandemic. After recovering, she had also donated her plasma twice for plasma therapy trials on other COVID-19 patients.

Baby Doll singer Kanika Kapoor was the first one in Bollywood to have tested positive for the virus. She had travelled from London and had even attended a party in Uttar Pradesh which included several politicians as well. Kanika was also booked by the Lucknow police on charges of negligence for attending social events in the city despite being infected and was interrogated about the same.
