Sandalwood drug scandal: Kannada actress Ragini Dwivedi allegedly tampers with her urine test

Amid the ongoing drug scandal in the Sandalwood film industry, actress Ragini Dwivedi and a few other names have cropped up. While going for a dope test, the actress apparently fidgeted with her urine sample.

After Sushant Singh Rajput’s unfortunate demise and the drug angle steadily getting unfolded in his case, the alleged drug usage in film industry parties has garnered a snowball effect. Not just the late actor’s case but several stars from the Kannada film industry are also subject to tests after filmmaker Indrajit Lankesh made shocking allegations on Sandalwood industry film stars in relation with ‘drug mafia’.

The case is currently being interrogated by the Central Crime Branch (CCB) and popular Kannada actress Ragini Dwivedi, Sanjjanaa Galrani’s names came forward. Amid the ongoing controversy, Ragini was asked to provide her urine sample for a test in Bengaluru. However, as per sources, Ragini allegedly tampered with her urine sample.

As reported by India Today, sources shared with the portal that Ragini mixed water with her urine sample, making it unfit for testing. When the police officials realised this, she was apparently made to go for another round of dope test. A police source shared with the portal, “The urine sample was tampered and the doctors immediately caught this. They realised that water was mixed in it. She was then asked to give another sample.”

Reportedly, the police officials also took the hair follicle samples of Ragini and Sanjjanaa. It can determine whether a person has taken drugs in the past 4-5 months.

A few days back, reports had it that when Sanjjanaa was taken for tests, she had created a ruckus at the hospital, stating that it was her ‘fundamental right’ to say no to a test.

Two peddlers namely Rahul Shetty and Ravi Shetty linked with the case have been arrested for allegedly supplying drugs at film parties and rave parties. A few days back, Ragini’s flat was raided by a seven-member team of CCB officers. She is being subject to rigorous questioning by the officials on her association with banned drugs like marijuana, cocaine and hashish.
