Assam: Retired teacher succumbs to COVID-19 in Bajali

Minakshi Sarma, a retired Subject teacher of Baghmara HS school, died at Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital (FAAMCH) on Saturday night.

It is learnt that she was suffering from fever, cough and body ache and was admitted to FAAMCH, where he tested positive for COVID-19.

A resident of Majigaon area near Palashbari, she retired from service on  January 31, 2019.

He husband Karuna Mohan Sarma, is a retired professor of the then Bajali College.

A pall of gloom has descended in the area on the death of the 62-year-old teacher.
