Two teenagers injured after gangs with weapons brawl in Glasgow street

TWO teenagers have been left injured after gangs brawled with weapons on Glasgow street.

Cops swooped on Aberfeldy Street, near Walter Street, in the Haghill area at 5.40pm yesterday on Sunday, September 13.

Two teens, aged 18 and 17, were found injured and were rushed to hospital for treatment following the mass fight.

Police say the pair been involved up in a 'disturbance' with up to eight louts on nearby Cumbernauld Road.

Both of the lads were taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary, with the 17-year-old remaining in hospital for observation, while the 18-year-old has been discharged.

The force say their investigation into the incident is ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman told the Record: "At around 5.40 pm last night, Sunday, September 13 police were called after two men were found injured on Aberfeldy Street near to Walter Street, Haghill, Glasgow.

"The two men, aged 18 and 17, had been injured during a disturbance involving up to eight people in nearby Cumbernauld Road.

Man rushed to hospital after being found injured in Castlemilk

"Both were taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where the 18 year old was treated and has since been discharged. 

"The 17 year old man remains in the hospital for observations. Enquiries in to the incident are ongoing."

Meanwhile, yesterday we reported that a man was rushed to hospital after being found injured in Catlemilk.

The man, 53, was discovered by cops at around 7.20am on Saturday on Croftfoot Road, Castlemilk, Glasgow.

He was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in the city for treatment.

The circumstance surrounding the man's injuries are not yet known.
