Male juvenile arrested after man found dead in Kilmainham

A man was found dead on a laneway off Madison Road in the early hours of this morning

A male juvenile has been arrested after the body of a man was found in the early hours of this morning in Kilmainham.

Gardai have said the deceased was discovered on a laneway off Madison Road after they were alerted at approximately 1:30am on Monday.

The male juvenile arrested in connection with the investigation is currently being held at Kevin Street Garda Station.

It is understood the body of the man remains at the scene which is being preserved for technical examinations.

A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí in Kevin Street are appealing to anyone who may have any information in relation to this matter to come forward and assist them with the investigation.

"Anyone who was in the Madison Lane area between the hours of 11pm and 2am should contact Kevin Street Garda Station on 01 666 9400 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111."
