Chris Evans was trolled by his A lister pal Mark Ruffalo after accidentally posting a "d**k pic" on social media.

The Captain America star, 39, was left embarrassed after sharing a picture of his penis with his 6.1 million Instagram followers.

The awkward gaffe left his pal Mark with no choice but to poke fun at the situation, and even brought US president Donald Trump into it.

Taking to Twitter, Mark wrote: "Bro, while Trump is in office there is NOTHING you could possibly do to embarrass yourself. See… silver lining."

Fans rushed to comment on Mark's tweet as they provided words of comfort for Chris after the embarrassing mishap.

One fan penned: "Oh he has nothing to be embarrassed about."

While another joked: "Kinda makes you wonder what Mark is packing if he thinks that was embarrassing."

Chris was left red-faced after he accidentally posted a screenshot of his camera roll on Instagram, with one of the images on the screen being of his penis.

He then quickly deleted the screen recording just moments after posting it, but it was enough time for eagle-eyed fans to notice the explicit image.

He initially posted the video on Instagram to show fans a sweet clip of his family playing the game Heads Up, but accidentally suffered a blunder.

The "d**k pic" snap was not the only one fans spied on his camera roll, as another snap that showed Chris' face alongside a text that read "guard that p**sy" was spotted too.

Chris has not yet addressed the blunder publicly, but the topic continues to trend on Twitter whilst his A list pals continue to mock him.
