- Samsung just confirmed the latest Samsung Galaxy Unpacked virtual event.
- The event will happen at 10:00 AM ET on Wednesday, September 23, 2020.
- It seems likely the company will launch the Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition during the event.
Samsung is going to hold yet another virtual press event very soon, just a few weeks after it held one to reveal the Galaxy Z Fold 2. Today, it announced that the latest Samsung Galaxy Unpacked press event will happen on Wednesday, September 23. It will begin at 10:00 AM ET.
While the company didn’t confirm what it plans to reveal, one big hint might be in the event’s full title: Unpacked for Every Fan. That would seem to indicate that it will officially announce the much-rumored and leaked Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition.

Based on the rumors and leaked specs, the S20 Fan Edition could go on sale in October. Rumors suggest it could have a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with a 2,400 x 1,080 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
There could be both 4G-only and 5G models, with the 4G version using Samsung’s own Exynos 990 processor, and the 5G model using Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 chip. It’s also rumored to have three rear cameras, with a 12MP primary sensor, a 12MP 123-degree wide-angle camera, and an 8MP telephoto camera. It may also have a 32MP selfie camera.

The phone is also rumored to contain a 4,500mAh battery, 6GB RAM, and 128GB on onboard storage. Finally, the phone could be offered in a wide variety of different colors.
It will be interesting to see if this phone is the sole subject of the next Samsung Galaxy Unpacked. That could mean the company is going to promote this S20 Fan Edition more like a flagship device rather than a mid-range phone. We will be covering the event on September 23 to give you the information on everything that’s being revealed.
