Redmi Note 10: New information indicates a 120 Hz display and better performance than the Redmi Note 9 Pro

by

The Redmi Note is Xiaomi's bread and butter, with devices like the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro putting up incredible sales numbers. After debuting the Redmi Note 9 months ago, Xiaomi is set to release a direct successor, the Redmi Note 10, and details of the phone have now surfaced.

According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, the Redmi Note 10 is set to be launched with Qualcomm's latest chipset, the Snapdragon 732G. The Snapdragon 732G debuted on the Poco X3 earlier this week, so it makes sense that it'll also find its way onto Xiaomi's next-gen Redmi Note.

Interestingly, though, the source claims that the Redmi Note 10 may have 4G and 5G variants. The Snapdragon 732G doesn't offer 5G connectivity, so logic dictates that it will feature on the 4G model. The 5G model, in that case, would likely sport the MediaTek Dimensity 820 as leaks have claimed so far.

It's unclear exactly how viable that is, as Xiaomi is more likely to only release a Redmi Note 10 and a Redmi Note 10 Pro, but the Snapdragon 732G looks to be more powerful than what one would expect on the regular Redmi Note 10. For one, that would make it even more powerful than the Redmi Note 9 Pro and its Snapdragon 720G.

The Redmi Note 10 is expected to sport a 6.67-inch FHD+ 120 Hz LCD. That, and the presence of a Snapdragon 732G implies that it could be a rebranded Poco X3.
