Battle of Paris: Neymar one of 5 red cards in PSG v Marseille!!
by BeSoccerThe clash between PSG and Marseille ended in the worst way possible as five players were dismissed. Kurzawa, Paredes and Neymar were dismissed for the home side while Benedetto and Amavi saw red for Marseille.
Marseille won at PSG in the French league and that was their first win against them in 20 matches.
They did so with a 0-1 victory thanks to a goal by Florent Thauvin. There was constant fighting, spitting, arguments and claims of racist abuse.
It seemed more the battle of Paris rather than a football game. Neymar started everything after a confrontation with Payet. He then argued with Alvaro who he claimed racially abused him. Di Maria then spat at Alvaro.

In second half stoppage time, all hell broke loose. The referee sent off five players, three for PSG and two for Marseille.
There was a fight after a PSG player was fouled and Kurzawa, Amavi, Benedetto and Paredes were given their marching orders.
Neymar, who was the angriest of all, was dismissed after a VAR review for punching Alvaro. In the first half, he claimed the Spaniard had racially abused him and he did so again after being sent off.
There were 12 yellows and 5 reds given by referee Jerome Brisard. It brought back memories of the 2006 World Cup game between Portugal and Holland in Nuremberg which saw Russian referee Valentin Ivanov show 16 yellows and 4 reds.
