A Scots mum has blasted Amazon after they were caught selling offensive Down's syndrome t-shirts for the second time this year.

Stacey Corrigan, whose six-year-old son Daniel Murray has Downs' syndrome, spotted the t-shirts for sale on the selling site and was furious.

One of the tops is emblazoned with the caption "Make Down's Syndrome extinct, while another pictures a five star rating system with one star highlighted and says "Down's syndrome - Very bad. Would not recommend".

Stacey said seeing the t-shirts and mugs on sale again was 'heartbreaking', just six months after she contacted Amazon the first time she noticed them being sold.

The 34-year-old, who is engaged to Daniel's dad Colin, says they are offensive to their 'perfect' son.

She said: "It's unbelievable that they are allowed to be sold again. You can also get this stuff on mugs. It's hate speech and its heartbreaking to think how anyone with Down's Syndrome would feel if they came across this.

"Daniel is just perfect and we wouldn't change a thing about him."

The tech giant has apologised to Stacey, however the Paisley mum said it's 'not good enough'.

She added: "Amazon have apologised again, but it's not good enough this time. We should never have to raise this issue with them. They are failing a whole community."

While the t-shirts were available to buy online last night, Amazon say they are being removed.

A spokesman for Amazon said: "All sellers must follow our selling guidelines and those who do not will be subject to action including potential removal of their account."

Stacey has now joined a growing number of mums who are petitioning Amazon to make sure this never happens again. You can show your support by signing the petition here.
