Man escapes serious injury after falling 8 metres in Surfers Paradise
by Monique StClairUPDATE @ 9.30AM | Police have charged a man, after a 21-year-old fell eight metres from a balcony in Surfers Paradise overnight.
It’s alleged the man was being assaulted by a group of men, when he ran and tried to flee over a balcony onto an awning.
He then fell around eight metres, and suffered rib and back injuries.
He was hospitalised in a stable condition.
A 31-year-old man has since been charged, with investigations continuing this morning.
A 15-year-old and a 26-year-old are also believed to have been involved.
EARLIER @ 7.00AM | A man’s been hospitalised after falling from height in Surfers Paradise last night.
Emergency services were called to Circle on Cavill Avenue around 7.15pm, following reports of a number of incidents.
A man in his 20s had fallen around eight metres in the incident, but had luckily escaped serious injury.
He was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital for further treatments, and is believed to be in a stable condition.
No other injuries were reported by Queensland Ambulance Service.
