Police were called to the High Street in Budleigh Salterton today (September 4), after a car collided with a pedestrian.

The collision happened at 10:30am near the Co-op.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: ''Police were called at around 10.30am this morning to the High Street, Budleigh Salterton, with a report that a car was in collision with a pedestrian.

''Pedestrian suffered minor injuries luckily.''

Following the incident, West Hill was partially blocked reports roads traffic and monitoring service, Inrix.

The road has now reopened and traffic has been cleared on B3178 West Hill near the Co-op.
