This low figure has many publications claiming that the Red Devils could swoop for the 31-year-old, who recently admitted that Real have made a desired exit from the Santiago Bernabeu in the past difficult.

In a recent interview, the former Tottenham Hotspur winger said he still has many years left in him, which would suggest he still has a passion for the beautiful game.

Ex-Liverpool midfielder John Barnes recently questioned Bale's hunger, with the Wales international having not played a lot of football over the past two years.
