Positive in Delhi, negative in Jaipur: MP Hanuman Beniwal shares both coronavirus test reports
All the MPs attending the Monsoon Session of Parliament were asked to undergo RT-PCR tests.
by Times Now DigitalJaipur: Nagaur MP Hanuman Beniwal on Monday shared his COVID-19 test reports. While one test, which was conducted in Delhi ahead of the Monsoon Session of Parliament, found the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) convenor infected with coronavirus, the other, which was got done by Beniwal in Jaipur, came out to be negative.
Rashtriya Loktantrik Party is the BJP affiliate in Rajasthan.
Sharing both the reports on his verified Twitter handle, Beniwal wondered which report should be considered accurate.
He captioned: “I got myself tested for COVID-19 on the Lok Sabha premises. It turned out to be positive. Afterwards, I got the coronavirus test done in Jaipur-based SMS hospital, which showed the result as negative. I am sharing both the reports with you. Which report shall be considered accurate?”
In a series of tweets, Beniwal said that his COVID-19 test was done in Lok Sabha complex on September 11. The MP said that on September 13, he received a call from the Lok Sabh Secretariat, informing about the positive result. "Thereafter, I discussed with senior doctors and submitted a sample at Jaipur-based SMS hospital. As per the report I received just now, my test results are negative. I am totally healthy. My third report has turned out to be negative today and I have, as per the medical protocal, spent the mandated duration of home quarantine after the first negative report successfully."
This is to be noted that Beniwal was found to be infected with coronavirus in July as well. "I got my Covid-19 test done after a few symptoms developed and my report has tested positive. However, my wife Kanika's report is negative. I appeal to everyone who came in touch with me in the last 10 days to get themselves quarantined and tested," Beniwal had said on July 26.
It was mandatory for all the MPs attending the Monsoon Session of Parliament to undergo RT-PCR tests as part of the COVID-19 guidelines.
