Malayalam actor Prabeesh Chakkalakkal collapses, dies during film shoot in Kochi

Prabeesh Chakkalakkal, Malayalam actor and dubbing artiste has reportedly passed away after he collapsed on the sets of a tele film shoot in Kochi.

Malayalam actor Prabeesh Chakkalakkal has passed away after collapsing on the sets of a film shoot in Kochi, suggest latest reports. The 44-year-old dubbing artiste was in Kerala's Kochi when he collapsed during the shoot for the YouTube channel Cochin Collage, reports Samakalika Malayalam. The report also states that the artiste breathed his last even before they could reach the hospital.

The tele film that the team was shooting was directed towards spread awareness about waste management in Kerala. It showed waste being disposed of at the Kundannoor Bund Road in Kochi. Prabeesh was signed up for the role of a foreigner who reacts to the sight of the garbage in an otherwise beautiful region.

After finishing his shoot and clicking a group photo with his coworkers, Prabeesh suddenly collapsed on the set. He had told the film’s videographer Sujith that his tongue was going dry and he needed some water to drink, a report by OneIndia suggests. He collapsed soon after drinking a glass of water.

The same report states that his friends tried to help the actor and tried rushing him to the hospital, but they failed to find a car. Then, finally, they got hold of Prabeesh's cars.

Prabeesh was known for his work in many telefilms. He had worked as a dubbing artiste in many popular Malayalam film. Prabeesh was also a Christian Service Society state committee member. He is survived by his father, Joseph, wife, Jansy, and a daughter named Taniya. He was buried at the Maradu Moothedam church today.
