As lockdown continues in a myriad of locations around the globe, everyone will be relieved to know that Netflix has plenty of new content coming out as we near the end of 2020.
One of the most intriguing forthcoming releases has to be the new adaptation of Daphne du Maurier's classic gothic novel, Rebecca, which will see Netflix dip its toe back into serious movie territory.

Rebecca stars Armie Hammer and Lily James.
Lily James plays a newlywed who arrives at her husband's impressive estate on the English coast after a "whirlwind romance in Monte Carlo with handsome widower Maxim de Winter," per Netflix's synopsis. Call Me By You Name's Armie Hammer plays the dashing and rich husband, whose deceased wife continues to have a larger than life presence. Per the official synopsis, Rebecca's "haunting legacy is kept alive by Manderley’s sinister housekeeper Mrs. Danvers," played by the inimitable Kristin Scott Thomas.
The cast is rounded out by Keeley Hawes, Handmaid's Tale star Ann Dowd, and Game of Thrones's Ben Crompton.
