Furious Neymar blasts Alvaro Gonzalez over 'bad loser' swipe & racism denial
by Coral BarryNeymar has furiously hit back at Alvaro Gonzalez branding him a bad loser after the Paris Saint-Germain star accused the Marseille defender of racially abusing him in a game.
Marseille beat PSG 1-0 in a heated Ligue 1 game that saw five players, including Neymar, sent off in injury time.
A small brawl erupted in the final minutes, but Neymar had been locking horns with Gonzalez for much of the match.
Replays showed Neymar slapped Gonzalez during the melee and the referee dished out a red card to the Brazilian after consulting VAR.
Neymar told officials as he walked off the pitch that Gonzalez had racially abused him and then spoke more about the alleged incident after the game, claiming he was called a ‘monkey motherf*cker’.
After Neymar demanded action be taken against Gonzalez, the Marseille player dismissed the racism claims and posted a rebuke to the forward, branding him a bad loser.
‘There is no place for racism,’ said Gonzalez.
‘Clean race and with many colleagues and friends on a daily basis.
‘Sometimes you have to learn to lose and take it on the field. Incredible three points today. Come on Marseille. Thanks family.’
Neymar was quick to respond to Gonzalez’s denial, opening fire on his character and reiterating his claims he was racially abused.
He said: ‘You are not a man to assume your mistake, losing is part of the sport.
‘Now insulting and bringing racism into our lives no, I don’t agree. I DON’T RESPECT YOU!
‘YOU HAVE NO CHARACTER! Assume what you say man … be a MAN RAPÁ! RACIST.’
