With just five days to the Edo guber election, Primate Elijah Ayodele has stated that Governor Godwin Obaseki will win the poll because he is "God's project."
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Legit TV in Lagos, the INRI Spiritual Evangelical Ministry founder emphasised that the Edo governor will win the election should there not be manipulation.
Edo governorship election has been scheduled for Saturday, September 19, with the poll looking a two-horse raceway between All Progressives Congress (APC)'s Osagie Ize-Iyamu and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)'s Obaseki.

There is heightened tension in the south-south state occasioned by the statements of some politicians.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has, however, expressed commitment to go on with the election as scheduled.
Primate Ayodele, who urged Obaseki to do all the necessities, also stressed that the Edo governor can only be eased out of the race by "manipulation."
"Two years ago, I said Obaseki is God's project. Without manipulation, give it to Obaseki. Obaseki can only be eased out with manipulation. If he (Obaseki) wins, Oshiomhole is going into oblivion.
"If he does not take the right steps, they will manipulate him out. So, he must not relent, he must do what is necessary to win the victory.
"Ize-Iyamu cannot win. He can only win by manipulation. If he wins, his government will not be a government," the popular prophet said, adding that the APC flagbearer is confused.

In other news, a former Nigerian president, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, has given his view as to how rigging, manipulation, and all forms of electoral malpractices can be avoided in the country.
Jonathan opined that the best and only way for electoral crimes to be avoided not just in Nigeria but across Africa is through electronic voting.
The former Nigerian leader made this rather controversial submission during the Osasu Show Symposium 2020.
