Ronda Rousey has been out of the professional wrestling scene for a long time now. The speculations of her coming back to WWE remain active most of the time. It was recently fuelled up as she got spotted training with Ariel Teal Toombs, aka Teal Piper, the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer “Rowdy” Roddy Piper.
While Ronda Rousey herself has been tight-lipped about the situation, Ariel posted several pictures on her Instagram account from the training sessions. She noted about herself about being out for six months since undergoing an ACL/meniscus reconstruction. But obviously people were more conscious of seeing her training partner, instead.
Ronda Rousey Spotted Training; WWE Return Imminent?
Ariel is an actress and singer who made her professional wrestling debut at last year’s AEW All Out pay-per-view whole competing in the Casino Battle Royale match. This was her one-off night in AEW where she was eliminated by Awesome Kong. Roddy Piper’s daughter is also a member of the Women of Wrestling roster who debuted a new interview segment titled Teal Talks on Season 6 of the show.
The segments resembled the talk-show, Piper’s Pit which used to be hosted by her late father’s legendary interview segment. Ronda Rousey has always considered the late great as her inspiration to enter the world of professional wrestling.
It should be noted that Ronda Rousey has not been seen on WWE television since the main event of WrestleMania 35. Back in 2020 April, she spoke during a conversation that she will never return to the squared circle, on a full-time basis as it’s a hectic schedule for her.
“I’m never going to be a full-time [wrestler] again, which requires me to be on the road for over 200 days a year. It’s just it was I needed to do it in order to learn and get immersed into it and really understand what was going on, but it’s just not the lifestyle for me,” she said on the “Wild Ride!” earlier this year.
Ronda Rousey is under contract with WWE until April 2021 but she was never used in the company since April 2019. Since the coronavirus pandemic is going on, WWE isn’t keen on bringing the big box office attractions on TV. They are the crowd pullers who aren’t needed at this time when there’s no audience is present. On that basis, we guess that the former Raw Women’s Champion isn’t coming back, soon.
