New ‘Conan Exiles’ Expansion Brings Eldritch Horrors Into Play
by Mike WilsonFuncom’s Conan Exiles MMO has been kicking around since 2017, and is set to get a new expansion pack later this week. What makes it even more special is the fact that the Isle of Siptah expansion will bring Lovecraftian eldritch horrors into the game for you to cleave.
Releasing into Early Access on PC on September 15th, Conan Exiles: Isle of Siptah is the first major expansion for the game. Isle of Siptah sees you travelling to the fabled Isle of Siptah, featuring more than a dozen new dungeons known as vaults, “surges of sorcery that spawn vile creatures and NPCs, and an ominous dark tower surrounded by a magical storm.” Players will also now will be able to summon portals that forcibly pull NPCs from the Exiled Lands and onto the island. This is turn will have players competing for these opportunities, “creating bloody conflict and an all-new gameplay loop.”
Isle of Siptah also comes with two new building sets, allowing you to construct pirate-themed towns. You’ll also have access to a brand-new mount in the form of a rhinoceros. Acquiring the game in early access will even grant you a limited edition War-torn Rhino Mount Skin. The new building sets and mounts will also be accessible on the base game map, as long as you have Isle of Siptah installed.
Conan Exiles is currently available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
