Hennessey's New C8 Corvette Wheels Are Worth The Price

They look pretty darn cool, too.

Aftermarket accessories for the latest generation Chevrolet Corvette have already begun to arrive, and one of the first companies to do so is Hennessey Performance. The Texas-based company has a reputation for making fast cars fasters, which also happens to be its very appropriate slogan. Already its modified 2020 Corvette blasted to over 200 mph last May, exceeding Chevy's claimed top speed of 194. Of course, that was only the beginning because the modifications done were relatively light. And now Hennessey is back with yet another slight C8 Vette mod that many owners will find quite appealing.

Introducing a new set of C8 wheels that not only offer unique styling but also weigh 22 pounds in total less than the stock wheels.

These forged alloys feature a 10-spoke design and are covered in a cool-looking Gunmetal Grey finish. The 'H' emblem, however, is more of an off-white. Measuring 19 inches in diameter and 8.5 inches wide (half an inch wider than their stock counterparts), each front wheels weighs 21.3 pounds. To compare, each stock wheels weighs 25.6 pounds, thus a 4.3-pound saving per wheel.

The rear wheels measure 20 inches in diameter and 11 inches wide, also half an inch wider than the stock versions. Each rear wheel weighs 25.4 pounds compared to the 32.1-pound stock rollers.

The price? A set will set you back $5,995. Hennessey also released the included the demonstration video, just in case owners need a little more convincing. These wheels are made for all 2020 and 2021 C8s, both coupe and convertible, and will mount on the factory stock Michelin tires.

For owners who also want more power, they'll be happy to know Hennessey is also hard at work putting the finishing touches on a twin-turbo kit that's expected to produce upwards of 643 horsepower and 570 lb-ft of torque. To compare, the base C8 offers 495 hp and 470 lb-ft.
