Former Australia all-rounder Shane Watson is an integral part of the Chennai Super Kings outfit and has excelled under the leadership of MS Dhoni at CSK. Watson, who has been an admirer of MS Dhoni, is all set for another crack at the Indian Premier League that had resurrected his career way back in 2008.

Watson is training with Chennai Super Kings in the UAE as they gear up for the high-octane opener against defending champions Mumbai Indians in Dubai on September 19.

Watson on Sunday shared a video of him and MS Dhoni smashing bowlers in the nets at the ICC Academy where the CSK squad have been training under the watchful eyes of Stephen Fleming.

Watson, who was the part of Rajasthan Royals for a long period said he loved his stay at the RR camp and enjoyed played under Shane Warne, but he feels fortunate to play for a great franchise like CSK.

"CSK had full faith in me, they're an incredible franchise to play against. When I played for Royals against Chennai, I always admired Stephen Fleming, and MS as well, the way he carried himself on and off the field.

"To be able to play at CSK and experience the way the franchise is run incredibly well from top-down was a very special experience.

"I do feel fortunate to have this part of my career of the IPL in the last few years, to play for a franchise that looks after everyone so unbelievably well," Watson said.

Watson had won the IPL with Rajasthan Royals in the maiden season in 2008, playing a pivotal role with both bat and ball. Watson played a starring role for CSK as an opener in the 2018 season, which helped Dhoni's team win the title for the third time. Watson was influential last season too, but CSK lost the final to Mumbai Indians by a solitary run.
