New Mi 10T Pro renders reveal the design of Xiaomi's next premium smartphone and the possible lack of a headphone jack
by Ricci RoxAfter releasing the Redmi K30 Ultra and Mi 10 Ultra in China last month, Xiaomi is set to launch two new high-value devices for the global market: the Mi 10T and the Mi 10T Pro. The devices will succeed the Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro, and the first full renders have now been revealed.
Going by the images shared by popular tipster Digital Chat Station, the Mi 10T Pro will sport a triple camera setup; likely comprised of an ultra-wide-angle camera and zoom lens in addition to a 108 MP main camera. The zoom lens will not be a periscope setup like on the Mi 10 Ultra, however, and will likely just be a regular 78mm equivalent.
The front of the Mi 10T Pro is shown as being without bezels, with the selfie camera housed within a hole punch—standard design for 2020. The display itself doesn't appear to be curved at all, which should excite enthusiasts who aren't keen on such displays.
Sadly, there doesn't seem to be a 3.5mm headphone jack onboard. That's a shame, as the Mi 9T phones both had jacks. Xiaomi has taken to removing the port from its premium phones for some reason, with the new Redmi K30 Ultra also lacking one.
The Mi 10T will probably be the more popular option and that phone is expected to share a chassis with its Pro sibling. The 108 MP camera will likely be replaced by a 64 MP shooter, however, with the telephoto lens possibly also making way.
