UFC Vegas 10 results: Bobby Green wins lopsided decision over Alan Patrick to move to 3-0 in 2020

by

Staying busy has paid off for Bobby Green in 2020.

After earning wins in both June and August, Green picked up a lopsided unanimous decision win over Alan Patrick at UFC Vegas 10 to move to 3-0 on the year. The scorecards all read 30-27 in favor of Green, who has been rejuvenated following back-to-back losses prior to his recent win streak.

Despite a dominant win, Green was still critical of his performance afterwards.

“I just felt off,” Green said. “I could have did way better.”

Green may have felt like he didn’t have his best night at the office but his performance certainly told a different story as he constantly thwarted takedown attempts from Patrick and made him pay with a ground and pound attack of his own.

Again and again, Green shrugged off Patrick whenever he tried to utilize his wrestling and inevitably it was the Strikeforce veteran who found a way to land on top. Green eventually abandoned the ground game in favor of his striking while constantly stalking Patrick across the octagon.

With five minutes remaining, Patrick knew he had to go for broke in an attempt to get the finish but Green refused to allow him a resurgence. Green was fast on the feet, countering Patrick in the exchanges and refusing to give an inch whether the fight was standing or on the ground.

Just before the final horn sounded, Green refused to slow down as he tagged Patrick with several stiff punches as he cemented his victory.

Green has always been considered a tough out whenever he competes but this recent win streak has turned him into must-see television every time he performs. Considering the momentum he’s riding right now, it seems entirely possible he’ll make another appearance before the year is over.
