Is Kel dead in Coronation Street?
by Jack SlaterBilly (Daniel Brocklebank) has suspected for quite some time that the body found in the canal could be that of paedophile Kel Hinchley (Joe Alessi).
In scenes coming up, viewers will see Mary (Patti Clare) urge Billy to go to the police and find out for certain – advice he ends up following.
What does Billy found about Kel – is he dead? And just who might have killed him?
Is Kel dead?
Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) learns that paedophile Kel Hinchley has been found dead.
And it’s Paul who could come under suspicion for Kel Hinchley’s death.
Last week, Coronation Street viewers saw Billy Mayhew discover that a body found in the canal belonged to a dead man in his 50s wearing a security uniform – all signs indicating it could belong to Kel, Paul’s abuser.
Suspicions that turn out to be correct.
While Paul’s mum Bernie is delighted to find out Kel is dead, Billy soon realises that Paul is struggling with the news and finds him drinking alone.
Things look to get worse for Paul when a police officer calls around and confirms that the body was Kel and begins to ask questions.
Paul comes close to incriminating himself when he states that he’s not surprised that Kel was murdered – a fact that the police officer hadn’t yet disclosed.
The police officer hadn’t mentioned anything about murder – can Paul’s comment be reason to suggest he had something to do with it?
Viewers will have to stay tuned to find out…
