#SandalwoodDrugScandal: Ragini Dwivedi's bail plea hearing pushed to Wednesday

The ongoing drug scandal that links the Kannada film industry with drug abuse has been making headlines for over a fortnight now. One of the most prominent names to be linked with this is Ragini Dwivedi who was arrested around 11 days ago by Bengaluru's Central Crime Branch police officials. The actress is an accused in this case and has been waiting for a bail hearing ever since. Ragini was arrested after a close associate of her's took her name during an interrogation. The actress has had two extensions of her being kept in CCB custody ever since as the officials said that she wasn't compliant to their interrogation so far. The actress had even applied for an interim bail then. The actress's bail hearing was on Friday, when the could pushed the next hearing to Monday.

Today, the bail appeal hearing has been further pushed. It will be heard next on Wednesday according to news reports. The actress, hence, will have to wait until then. Incidentally, her CCB custody will end today, so is to be seen what will happen to her. Will she remain in CCB custody for a couple more days or will she be shifted to judicial custody next will be known later today.

Meanwhile, both Ragini and Sanjjanaa Galrani, another actress who has been arrested in the same case, were taken today for medical tests today to KC General Hospital. Reports say that this is for a Corona test as the actresses have been complaining of ill-health during their interrogations.
