POCO X3 NFC smartphone is a certifiable hit as more than 100,000 units are sold in just three days of its first sale
by Daniel R DeakinXiaomi has a penchant for justifiably bragging about amazing smartphone sales, and now it seems POCO has hitched a ride on that particular bandwagon too. Fans have been patiently waiting for the company to come up with something that isn’t just basically a rebranded Redmi phone, and the POCO X3 NFC is clearly fulfilling a lot of wishes. The sales stats, which were posted on the POCOGlobal Twitter feed, speak for themselves about the phone's successful launch:
- 1,000 units sold – 30 seconds
- 10,000 units sold – 30 minutes
- 15,000 units sold – one hour
- 61,000 units sold – one day
- 100,000 units sold – three days
It appears the blueprint for success in regard to price and performance that Xiaomi and then Redmi became renowned for has been passed on to POCO. The POCO X3 NFC offers a base configuration of 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and is powered by a Snapdragon 732G, which is an octa-core processor that can manage up to 2.3 GHz clock rates. The 6.67-inch display has a 120 Hz refresh rate and 240 Hz touch-sampling rate, so the POCO X3 NFC will appeal to gamers who don’t want to spend a fortune on a high-end gamer.
The POCO X3 NFC should also appeal to shutterbugs, with its 64 MP quad-camera setup and 20 MP selfie camera, all with artificial intelligence assistance. With prices from £199 to £249 in the UK (6 GB + 64 GB and 6 GB + 128 GB, respectively; sales start on Sep 17) and €229 to €249 in European markets (top-end configuration temporarily reduced from €269), it’s easy to see why the POCO X3 NFC has been selling so well, including managing to rack up sales of 3,859 units in just 24 hours in Spain alone.
