Burton and South Derbyshire are set for more sunshine in the coming days as the area enjoys an Indian summer.

Temperatures are set to hit highs of 25C today, between 3pm and 5pm, according to the Met Office.

And tomorrow is forecast to go one better, peaking at 26C at around 2pm.

On both days, there is no rain predicted, with blue skies until tomorrow afternoon, when a small amount of cloud cover will appear.

Wednesday will be more cloudy and will cool down a little, hitting 20C, with Thursday's high dropping to 18C, despite cloud disappearing in the afternoon.

Friday will have cloudy intervals, but will again reach temperature of 20C, with Saturday and Sunday dropping to highs of 17C.

The chance of rain is below 10 per cent between now and Sunday, with even higher temperatures predicted to return in the early part of next week.
