Riverside County voting centers planned for 4 consecutive days

RIVERSIDE – (INT) – Voting centers will replace neighborhood precinct polling places for the November presidential election.

In-person voting will be over four consecutive days beginning October 31st and ending at 8pm Election Night.

Completed mail-in ballots will be accepted at Riverside County’s 120 voting centers, but in-person voting will be entirely on electronic voting machines. No paper ballots will be available at the voting centers, the Registrar of Voters office said.

All 1.2 million registered voters in Riverside County will be sent mail-in ballots beginning October 5th, the same day that drop-off centers open. Voters choosing to return their completed ballots by mail have until November 3rd to get them postmarked. They must be received at the Registrar of Voters office up to 17 days after the election to be counted.

Voting center workers are being recruited for the November 3rd election.

Governor Newsom, meantime, has extended the deadline for county elections officials to count and verify signatures submitted for initiative petitions seeking to qualify for the November 2022 ballot. Newsom’s office says that will give election officials needed flexibility to focus on preparations for the General Election this November.
