PSG release strongly-worded statement after Neymar alleges he was racially abused
by Mark Jones, https://www.mirror.co.uk/authors/mark-jones/Paris Saint-Germain have offered their full support to Neymar after the Brazilian alleged he was racially abused in a Ligue 1 match on Sunday.
Neymar took to Twitter to accuse Marseille defender Alvaro Gonzalez of abusing him in the closing moments of PSG's 1-0 defeat in Paris.
The forward was one of five players sent off in stoppage time amid ugly scenes in the French capital, with Neymar dismissed after appearing to throw a punch at Gonzalez.
As he left the pitch, the former Barcelona star was seen speaking to the fourth official and later to television cameras as he accused Gonzalez of a racist slur.

The row then continued on social media, where Neymar claimed that Gonzalez called him "a monkey motherf*****."
Gonzalez denied the claims in his own tweet, only for Neymar to double down and tell the Spaniard that he was "not a man" for not admitting to his part in the row.
PSG released a statement on Monday evening in which they backed up Neymar and vowed to do all they could to help the French authorities with the investigation.
"Paris Saint-Germain strongly supports Neymar Jr. who reported being subjected to racist abuse by an opposing player," said the club.
"The club restates that there is no place for racism in society, in football or in our lives and calls on everyone to speak out against all forms of racism throughout the world.
"For more than 15 years the club has been strongly committed to the fight against all forms of discrimination alongside its partners SOS Racisme, Licra and Sportitude.
"Paris Saint-Germain looks forward to the LFP's Disciplinary Commission to investigate and ascertain the facts, and the club remains at the LFP's disposal for any assistance required."
