Vijayakanth hoists party flag as DMDK turns 16

Chennai: DMDK president Vijayakanth today hoisted the party flag at the headquarters in Koyambedu to mark the beginning of the 16th year of the party.

He was accompanied by party treasurer Premalatha Vijayakanth, youth wing secretary L K Sudhish and senior members of the party.

DMDK party cadres held celebrations State wide and hoisted the party flag and distributed sweets.

It may be noted that the party was launched by Vijayakanth on 14 September 2005 in Madurai. DMDK last contested in the Loks Sabha election in 2019 as part of the NDA alliance which comprises of AIADMK, PMK, BJP and TMC.
