SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - An 11-year-old girl has been hospitalized after she fell at a waterfall above the Sundance Mountain Resort in Utah this past weekend.

The Utah County sheriff’s office said the girl sustained a serious head injury after falling 70 feet (21 meters) and was flown by helicopter to Primary Children’s Hospital, the Salt Lake Tribune reported. She remained in critical condition Sunday.

Deputies and other rescue authorities responded to the fall at Stewart Falls, about a mile west of the Sundance ski resort and about 15 miles (24 kilometers) northeast from Provo.
