1888 – Anukulchandra Chakravarty, also popularly known as Sree Sree Thakur, was a spiritual leader and founder of Satsang, in Deoghar. The Government of India released a commemorative postage stamp for her in 1987.
1914 – Gopaldas Parmanand Sipahimalani “Sippy”, better known as “G.P.Sippy,” was a film producer and director.
1923 – Ram Boolchand Jethmalani was a lawyer and politician who has served as India’s Union Minister of law and justice, chairman of the Indian Bar Council, and as the president of the Supreme Court Bar Association.
1954 – Shrikant Jichkar was known as the most qualified person in India. After obtaining 20 degrees post appearing in 42 university examinations, he also became a politician, known to be the elected as the youngest MLA in the country, at the age of 26 years.
