Joe Wicks has been touring Wales and absolutely loving it
The Body Coach has been taking in some great Welsh scenic and foodie spots
by Kathryn WilliamsSome might say that Body Coach Joe Wicks deserves a day off after his heavy duty daily PE schedule kept the nation moving during lockdown earlier this year.
And he's done just that today, taking a scenic motorbike trip from his home near London to the Vale of Glamorgan coast and up to the top of the Rhigos viewpoint in Rhondda Cynon Taf.
The early start for the Body Coach saw him and his pals - who include Wales-based ex-rugby player-turned wellness coach, Richie Norton - stop at Ogmore-by-Sea's Cobbles Kitchen where he treated himself to a cooked breakfast as well as some oozing chocolate pancakes, accompanied by a more healthy side dish of broccoli and almonds.
According to his Instagram stories, Wicks, who became a national star on another scale after he began doing PE lessons every weekday from March until July, cannot believe how much chocolaty goodness the deli and kitchen put on their pancakes.
Cobbles is known for its Welsh brunches and afternoon teas, made with local produce, and can be found in a converted Grade II listed barn not far away from the seafront at Ogmore.
After a quick pic with the staff at Cobbles, Wicks went on his way weaving through the south Wales valleys and taking in the view at the top of the Rhigos Mountain.
The fitness guru certainly picked the best day for it as the view across to the Brecon Beacons was clear as day.
