Realme's first round-faced smartwatch may launch in the US soon following a full FCC specs leak

Realme launched its first smartwatch in May 2020. It once reportedly sold 15,000 units in 2 minutes, possibly due to its Apple-esque looks, not to mention its extremely reasonable price. However, it seems the OEM has decided to go another way with its upcoming follow-up wearable.

This product has been confirmed as the Watch S Pro (or RMA186) by means of its recent FCC certification. This new official documentation confirms that it has a round display as opposed to a square dial. Moreover, it is AMOLED rather than IPS-LCD this time, and measures 1.39 inches across with a resolution of 454x454.

The impending second-gen Realme Watch has a 420mAh battery, as opposed to 160mAh in the original. It is charged using one of those magnetic puck-like connectors. The S Pro will offer a "Dynamic Heart-Rate Monitor", as well as support for sleep-, step-, calorie intake-, and meditation-tracking. It will also be able to control a smartphone's music playback and camera via its Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connectivity.

All of these details are revealed through FCC images of the watch, its battery and its user manual. They also show that it has the CE mark, which suggests that it could also launch in Europe soon. However, this comprehensive leak also means it will almost certainly start at a higher price than the original Realme Watch. Then again, the OEM has yet to announce a debut for this new, probably higher-end wearable.
