Baltimore Reveals At Least 46 People Shot, 12 Dead in the Last Week
by VladTVAccording to police data, the last week in Baltimore was revealed to be a tragic one, as 45 people were shot with 11 of them being fatal incidents.
The data of the shootings reportedly were drawn from September 6 through September 13. One of the incidents that sparked outrage in the community took place in the Coldstream-Homestead-Montebello community, where a 14-year-old boy was shot to death.
The incident prompted the executive director of the Coldstream-Homestead-Montebello Community Corporation—Mark Washington, to speak out on the matter. In a letter written to the police major of the district, Washington said, “While none of us directly pulled the trigger that took the life of the 14-year-old, we certainly are responsible for the conditions that allowed that to happen. Those lost lives cannot and must not be in vain.” As of now, Baltimore has unfortunately recorded 233 homicides, which is reportedly almost near the number of murders recorded around the same time last year.
