Arunachal: GNRC empanelled under Chief Minister Arogya Arunachal Yojana

Chief Minister Arogya Arunachal Yojana (CMAAY)- the flagship healthcare scheme of the Arunachal Pradesh government- achieved a significant milestone with GNRC, Guwahati, empanelled under the ambitious scheme for cashless treatment.

A memorandum of understanding was signed by the state government with the GNRC Hospitals in Guwahati on September 10.

This has now made the CMAAY facility available in the hospital’s Dispur and North Guwahati centres, CMAAY’s chief executive officer Dr Nabam Peter said on Sunday.

The MoU was signed in the presence of health and family welfare secretary P Parthiban, Dr Nabam said.

GNRC will extend services for core specialities such as neurology, neurosurgery, cardiology and cardiac surgery, orthopaedics and joint replacement surgery and other medical specialities to the people of the state.

CMAAY’s objective is to provide financial support of up to Rs 5 lakh to the needy people of Arunachal Pradesh.

The scheme was launched by Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on September 2018.

The scheme enables the citizens of Arunachal to avail cashless health services in empanelled hospitals.
