A 41-year old woman has been formally charged with second-degree murder, in connection with Friday's homicide investigation in Cambridge.

Regional Police say the 22-year old victim suffered multiple stab wounds, based on a post-mortem examination.

The suspect in the case made her first court appearance on Monday.

Police were called to a suspicious death Friday morning, which took police to a home on Queen Street.

Police say the victim and accused were known to each other, and there's no threat to public safety.

A memorial is planned for Wednesday at Riverside Park, while a GoFundMe page is raising funds for the victim's family.
