Birthday Love: Five of Ayushmann Khurrana’s most memorable songs

by

Like many others before him, Ayushmann Khurrana had already had experience being in front of the camera before he made his debut. However, the difference was, instead of being an actor, Khurrana was recognised as being a top VJ, before shooting to fame as a big-screen actor in 2012. Always having done things differently, Khurrana has always had many hats, where he has also been appreciated for lending his voice to the many films and singles he has performed.

As the actor-singer turns 36 on 14th September, BizAsiaLive.com has selected five of his most catchy tracks that get everyone singing along.

Paani Da Rang – ‘Vicky Donor’ (2012)
Starting his acting career off with a bang, ‘Vicky Donor’ will is a film that is very close to his heart. Not only was it his first film, it was one that set the mark for the types of subjects Khurrana would dig his heels into for his future. It was also the film that set his singing career on a high too. Paani Da Rang is a song that elevates passion, where Khurrana showed his voice range. The song added to the sense of romance to this otherwise highly comedic film and added the extra spark towards winning the hearts of fans and critics worldwide.

Saadi Gali Aaja – ‘Nautanki Saala’ (2013)
Though his second film didn’t hit the mark as much and his first, Khurrana was the perfect choice for this number. Much like Paani Da Rang, Saadi Gali Aaja is catchy and smooth with an added bit of romance. The Punjabi lyrics were a perfect mesh of simple rhymes that had everyone singing their heart out.

Chan Kitthan – ‘Chan Kitthan’ (2018)
As well as films, Khurrana has ventured into doing his own musical singles including Chan Kitthan, written by Kumaar. Yet another romantic number, this is one that is full of soul. With the strumming of the soft guitar strings in the background, pairing perfectly with Khurrana’s soft vocals, has the listener swaying away for every line. With the addition of symbols, a sitar and tabla, making it a beautiful melody.

Nain Na Jodeen – ‘Badhaai Ho’ (2018)
Sticking to romance, Nain Na Jodeen is a track that expresses the agony of heartbreak, which Khurrana’s voice works perfectly with. Full of emotion, the song pulls back to the soft sounds that replicate those of the sad songs of the 80s and 90s. As the song goes on, Khurrana’s voice paired with Neha Kakkar emulates each emotion with pure heart, making this number, one that has everyone playing it on repeat.

Mere Liye Tum Kaafi Ho – ‘Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan’ (2020)
If the title of this is anything to go by, it’s definitely one for everyone. With the film depicting a “taboo” subject of homosexuality, Mere Liye Tum Kaafi Ho is a wonderful, snappy, positive song and is one that everyone can associate with. Though only two minutes long, Khurrana’s warm voice adds the extra spark of warmth and acceptance, which has everyone swaying, bopping, and waving their arms around.

With Khurrana’s acting career scaling to new heights with each project he takes up, there is much anticipation as to how far he will go with his singing. With every song he lends his voice to becoming an almost instant hit, here’s only hoping that the actor continues to express his vocal chords through music, and gives the audiences more memorable songs.

BizAsiaLive.com would like to wish the actor a very wonderful Happy Birthday.
