Tebogo Langerman was named on the Sundowns bench despite picking up a fourth booking in the side's 3-0 win over Black Leopards on the final day of the Absa Premiership season.

Siya sources at Premier Soccer League indicated that the Brazilians could face disciplinary action for including the suspended player in the squad on Saturday night.

However, the PSL Disciplinary Committee could only hand Sundowns a fine as the game was not played under protest as Celtic only lodged their appeal after the final whistle.

It has been indicated to the Siya crew that all clubs are given an updated suspension list a few days in advance of their respective encounters, so Celtic would have been aware of Langerman's suspension before the game and could have lodged a protest before kick-off.

Sundowns did go on to lift the Nedbank Cup title on the night, but the Siya crew was informed that Celtic requested that the league not hand over the trophy to the the Brazilians, but the request was dismissed.
