Brabus Introduces The Ultimate-E City Sports Car

Brabus is a company known for its love of excess and luxury with its lineup including wild creations such as the Brabus 700 Widestar based on the Mercedes-AMG G63 and ultra-luxurious versions of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. What do all of these vehicles have in common? They make tons of power, offer lots of luxury, and use excessive amounts of fuel. Brabus has answered the call for a more eco-friendly car and has now introduced the Ultimate-E, the "ultimate city sports car" which is an all-electric version of the smart EQ ForTwo Cabrio.

The tiny city car is much more than just a good looker: Brabus has spent some serious time developing this little racer. The three-phase synchronous motor has been upgraded to deliver more power and efficiency via a reprogrammed torque control system, and special modules for the accelerator pedal. The "driving fun switch" gives the driver the option of four different driving modes including Eco and Sport modes. The Brabus Ultimate-E produces a slight 92 hp and 133 lb-ft of torque in its sportiest driving mode and will do the zero to sixty sprint in 10.9 seconds. Top speed is pegged at a city-friendly 81 mph. The Ultimate-E has a range of up to 78 miles on one charge.

The exterior of this mini mean machine looks straight out of a Brabus catalog thanks to its Widestar widebody kit. This kit adds some of the lightest 18-inch forged wheels on the market at only 14.7 pounds per front wheel, and 15.6 pounds per rear wheel. The front fascia now features a large air intake, massive fender flares in the front and rear, and red highlights on the rear spoiler, rocker panels, and rear diffuser.

The interior gets exclusive black Brabus Mastik leather upholstery with red double stitching, aluminum pedals, scuff plates with the Brabus logo engraved, and tech such as navigation and climate control. You'll have to contact Brabus directly to get a price on one of these.
