Pedestrian killed in hit and run on Old Olga Road in Fort Myers
by WFTX Digital TeamFORT MYERS, Fla. — UPDATE (6:48 AM)-- According to a report, an unknown vehicle was traveling northbound on Old Olga Road, just south of Caribbean Boulevard.
A 27 year old male was lying in the shoulder and partially within the northbound travel lane on Old Olga Road, just south of Caribbean Blvd.
The vehicle collided with the pedestrian.
He was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital and later pronounced deceased.
The vehicle has fled the crash scene.
The details of the vehicle remain unknown but is possibly a red in color vehicle.

UPDATE (6:05 am)-- Troopers are responding to a vehicle versus pedestrian crash.
FHP confirms that the pedestrian is deceased, and the vehicle has fled the scene.
