Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Shweta reveals over 1 Lakh trees were planted to fulfill actor’s dream

Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti on Monday informed that more than one lakh saplings were planted by the late actor’s fans over the weekend.

Shweta had kicked off a global campaign and urged people to plant trees in memory of her brother on September 13, which was one of the things on the actor's list of dreams.

It has been three months to the death of Sushant and Shweta shared a video on social media to thank everyone for planting over one lakh trees across the world and fulfilling Sushant’s dream.

Expressing gratitude towards the overwhelming response, Shweta wrote, "More than 1 lakh trees were planted across the globe. #Plants4SSR Thank you so much for making it happen."

The song Manjha from Sushant’s film Kai Po Che plays in the background even as the video features people participating in the plantation drive, including actress Ankita Lokhande.

Ankita on Sunday planted a couple of saplings in her balcony and shared a series of pictures of the same wherein she can be seen accompanied by her pet dog Hatchi.

"Hatchi and mamma. My partner In almost everything. Planting plants..It’s our way to remember him by fulfilling his dream (sic)," she wrote.

Meanwhile, Sushant’s death case is being investigated by the CBI. Simultaneously, the ED is also probing the money laundering angle against Rhea Chakraborty and others. Rhea, on the other hand, has been arrested in drugs link in Sushant’s case by the Narcotics Control Bureau and is in judicial custody in Byculla Jail after her bail plea was denied.
