Neymar says he regrets not hitting Gonzalez in PSG's 1-0 defeat against Marseille

Neymar has finally reacted to the ugly incident that happened on Sunday night, September 13, while facing Marseille in Ligue 1 game and was red carded by the center referee.

The Brazilian football legend made it clear that he is unperturbed about the red card he got claiming that his only regret is not hitting Gonzalez in the face.

Being the champions of France and reaching the Champions League final last season, PSG fans were expecting their players to start the new season on a brighter note against Marseille.

But the encounter was not an easy one for Neymar and his teammates in which they eventually suffered a 1-0 defeat.

There was drama towards the end of the match in which the referee had no choice than to give five players red cards for misconducts.

Neymar got the last red card in the game and the former Barcelona star accused Gonzalez of using a foul language against him in on the pitch.

"My only regret is not hitting that Gonzalez in the face,'' Neymar stated on his twitter page.

Alvaro Gonzalez has also hit back at Neymar telling the Brazilian to learn how to accept defeat on the pitch and also claimed that he did not use any utter any bitter language against his opponent.
