Report: Tottenham to loan out Alfie Whiteman; number of clubs keen

by

Tottenham Hotspur are ready to loan Alfie Whiteman out for the coming season, with the Daily Mail reporting that a number of League One and League Two clubs are keen on the 21-year-old.

Whiteman is yet to make his first-team debut for Spurs. However, he has gained plenty of experience with the youth sides in North London.

But it appears that he is ready to take the next step in his career before the transfer window closes.

The Daily Mail reports that Whiteman is set to leave Tottenham on loan this summer. And it would seem that they are not going to struggle to find a club for the prospect.

The Mail notes that a number of third and fourth tier sides want Whiteman.

Of course, choosing where Whiteman will spend the season may not be easy. The most crucial factor they will consider is finding the club that will offer the goalkeeper the most game-time.

There may be some opportunities. However, with the season underway, most clubs will have decided who their number one will be. That may perhaps limit how many teams Tottenham are willing to send Whiteman to.

But on the other hand, Whiteman may benefit from taking on what appears a trickier challenge as he looks to prove that he is good enough to make the grade at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
